What Is
Cold Peel DTF?
Cold peel DTF heat transfers are printed onto film and pressed onto fabric, just like any other DTF transfer. The difference is in the peel step: with cold peel film, the backing needs to cool fully before it will lift cleanly away from the garment. Peel it too early and the design can lift or smear.
Hot peel film, which is what we use at Monkey Transfers, is engineered to release cleanly the moment you finish pressing — no cooling time required.
Both methods can produce a great finished print. The real difference is production speed: cold peel adds a wait on every single garment, while hot peel lets you press and peel in one continuous motion, which matters a lot once you're running dozens or hundreds of transfers.

Please ensure your artwork meets these specifications before submitting to avoid any delays.
PDF or PNG Format Only
We only accept PDF or PNG files. JPEG, AI, PSD, and other formats cannot be processed. Convert your artwork before uploading.
Minimum 300 DPI Resolution
Your file must be at least 300 DPI at full print size. Lower resolution files will appear pixelated in the final print.
Transparent Background
Artwork must have a transparent background, not white. A white background will print as white ink on the transfer film.
Minimum 1mm Line Width
Fine details smaller than 1mm may not reproduce clearly at print. Minimum text size is 6pt at final print dimensions.
Full Size (1:1 Scale)
Set up your artwork at the actual intended print size — not scaled down. We print what you send, at the size you specify.
What We Cannot Print
Neon / Fluorescent Colours —not achievable with our CMYK-based ink system
Metallic / Foil Effects —we do not offer metallic or specialty foil inks
Fade-outs to Transparent —white underbase creates a hard edge on transparent fades
JPEG / Low-Resolution Files —will not be accepted due to quality concerns
